Music has always inspired me.  I listen to music and it helps let my mind wander into creative nirvana.  Music and the visual arts have always gone hand in hand as art.  Photographing a musician or a group of musicians just lend itself to fun creativity.

I needed a band.  I didn’t have one handy, so a made one.

Don’t get me wrong.  These weren’t just 3 guys I picked up off the street.  They really do play the guitar, just not together.  (Well, Liam plays the  ukulele).  OK,in full disclosure, 2 of the 3 are my sons and the third is as close to a son as one can get without having to pay for college.

We had fun at the shoot.  We laughed a lot.  And we created.  It was really cool when one of the guys grabbed my camera and set up a shot that he wanted to shoot in black and white.  We just fed off each other’s creative energy.  It was a dream come true as an artist.

It was what is what I remember from the great shoots I had 20 some years ago.  Collaboration, creativity, bouncing ideas off each other and coming up with something new and different.

I had so much fun, now I want to find a real band.
