I had the great pleasure to photograph Kelly and Bob’s wedding on Sunday. What a fun wedding! Most of the ceremony was right out of a Dr Seuss book, the bride wore bright blue “Chuck Taylors” and we even had a vista from Bucky, the University of Wisconsin mascot! After the ceremony, we went with the bride a groom to the State Capital to shoot some more photos. I was told that the Capital building was open until 6:00 on Sunday, but it closes at 4:00. And of course, we showed up at 4:20. To our good fortune, we met a couple capital police that went above and beyond the call, and they let us in. What a great opportunity, the entire State Capital building, all to ourselves! We hiked to a couple of other locations and had a great time, and made some great photographs. One of the saving graces for me was the fact that I had a very talented assistant / second shooter. Dylan is only 15, but is a very good photographer, and it showed during this shoot. Not only did he take care of the equipment, he shot some great photographs!
All in all, a very good day!
